The Italian socialite and fashion designer, co-founder of the brand Chiglo with her twin sister Chia Piscedda, married the 30th August 2019 in Cagliari, Sardinia. For such event the bride chose Yolancris for creating her two wedding dresses.
The wedding took place in the Basilica of San Saturnino. Dating back to 5th century, is the oldest Paleo-Christian building on the island. The wedding celebrations extended to a two day event. The banquet and party was followed with a dinner in a sailing boat cruising the waters of the Tirrena sea.
For the church ceremony, Gloria Piscedda chose an eclectic, baroque style wedding dress highly detailed, “100% Gloria”, commented her good friends. The symbology of the dress, with embroideries of birds, swallows, feathers and flowers, represents the flight marriage undertakes. “For me, marriage is not a link, is freedom, is flying with another person.”
The dress, with off-shoulders and puffed sleeves, standed out for the empire cut and the long tail with hand-sewn embroideries. The layers of several meters of silk and tulle are accompanied by an also spectacular veil, one of the most special that the Firm has ever created. The second dress, for the after party, is was a corseted boho-inspired dress with transparencies, perfect for a more relaxed atmosphere.
